Performing Arts

The Performing Arts programmes focus on providing children with a platform where they receive tangible acknowledgement and encouragement, as they encounter audience reaction and feedback. By communicating freely with the voice, face and body, children learn to express ideas, empathise with others from different cultures and backgrounds, boost their confidence and develop a sense of belonging. Theatre, music, song and dance can help children become more imaginative, self-aware and collaborative global citizens.

The Performing Arts at Ambassador School, Sharjah, provide students with an opportunity to engage the mind, body and emotions in the collaborative expression of all which means to be human. Through study and demonstration, students explore and present great themes and ideas.

 Extra-curricular Activities 

• Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) are an integral part of the curriculum to develop skills among the students and to prepare them with hobbies, interests and aptitudes in life and promote their personal development. The various programs at Ambassador School, Sharjah include: 
• Different dance styles (Indian and International), Drama and Theater (Plays, musicals and mime acts), Fitness (Zumba-Aerobics).
• Dancing with Creative Props (Tambourine and Yowla Stick, Arabic dance, Paper Hand fan, Stick and Ribbon, Scarf / Dupatta)  
• To showcase their talents to audience, we organize Inter-house, inter-school competitions, Class assemblies, Talents Show and Annual concert.
• We have a variety of Clubs for students like Eco Club, Art Club, Music Club, Environment Club, Calligraphy Club, Performing Arts Club – Dance, etc.
• Performing Arts Club is a great way to integrate Zumba-Aerobic fitness with muscular endurance and flexibility activities. It can also help to introduce new activities or to reinforce self-practice of previously taught skills and movements. 

Music

At Ambassador School, Sharjah we train and coach our students  for singing, playing various instruments like, Guitar, Drums, Percussion, and Electronic Keyboard and prepare them for external exmaintions of Trinity College, London and ABRSM. 

Vocals 

During their regular classes, we give vocal warm-ups and exercises, which help them to use their voice most effectively. Learning different genres of music and songs are part of their regular curriculum. Students perfom on stage during the Specail Assmeblies and Days of Celebrations on a regular basis. 

Instruments 

Our students learn lessons for Guitar, Drums, Percussion, and Electronic Keyboard and prepare to appear for the external exmaintions of Trinity College, London and ABRSM.  

Activities of Music Department 

Provide music theory sessions to understand the rudiments and to upgrade their musical knowledge. 

Provide a small platforms such as class assemblies to display their talent.

Organize inter-house music competitions to showcase their talent.

Encourage the students to participate in events like Inter-school competitions.

Host in-house radio show to showcase their talents.

Provide Break time JAM ( Just A Minute)  sessions.

Studio recording to those, involved in school choir. 

Talent shows to showcase their talents.

Conduct school choir and school band for special occasions like the Annual Day and National Day etc.
