Assessment & Evaluation

Pre-primary years - Kindergarten 1 & 2

Assessments are informal and the little ones are evaluated based on their record of daily progress. Sensory learning and play-way framework are integrated with thematic learning methodologies. Hands-on, experiential learning strategies are employed to cater to the insatiable curiosity within every student. Students are prepared for the future with a strong STEAM Programme. Every area of learning is mapped and all tasks are recorded.

A ‘profile portfolio’ of each student is created which has the cumulative record of growth and skills development over a period of time. The reports are shared with parents at regular intervals and student targets are shared in order to support learning at home. The reports highlight general and specific development of the students’ attainment, personality development, progress and achievement in learning. Phonics and sight word assessments are conducted every term and the progress of each child is analysed.

Students appear for the benchmarking GL assessments of UK to gauge the global skills of our students at the international, regional and national level.

Online / Hybrid classes have the option of using SEESAW as a tool to assess students based on the curriculum standards.

Parent Teacher Meetings are on a regular basis while  Report card is generated every term.

Assessments in Grade 1 to 8

The school year comprises of two Periodic tests, Half yearly and Final Exam.

Assessment is both formative and summative in scholastic subjects, allowing teachers to build up a picture of the 'whole child', as is the vision of the CBSE. There are continuous Assessment for Learning (AFL) to gauge the progress of the student in all subjects.

Besides the marks and grades for academic performance, the report card gives a detailed assessment of the child’s progress in each subject with a way forward.

Assessment of Co-scholastic areas are done by regular observation, collecting information, using that information to review children’s progress with a final grade at the end of the Term.

Throughout all phases of education within the school, we value academic rigour entwined with opportunities to enable children to achieve their full potential in a wide range of subjects and extra-curricular activities.

 Assessments in Grade 9 & 10

The Assessment scheme will have an 80 marks component for Board examination (Grade X) and Annual Examination (Grade IX) in all scholastic subjects along with a 20 marks component of Internal Assessment.
